the principle of plate pattern anti-counterfeiting is to use lines or dots to form regular or irregular linear shading, flowers, lace and other elements to form plate patterns. The early pattern design was drawn by special staff by hand or by plotter. In packaging design, the commonly used anti-counterfeiting elements are:

1) shading. Shading mainly uses regular or irregular lines or patterns to form a large area of pattern, which is generally used for the background substrate, so the lines should not be too thick. The traditional shading is generally made into a small square first, and then the array copy is carried out to expand the area, which is easy to be imitated, and the anti-counterfeiting performance is not high. The current shading design is relatively complex, and it is difficult to find out the rules by using radiation or distortion methods, which greatly improves the anti-counterfeiting effect. 2) microform. Microform refers to the use of small words to form lines, which are well hidden and can only be found through a magnifying glass. Generally, the height of Chinese characters in micro characters should be controlled within 0.22mm, and the height of English characters should be controlled within 0.2mm. Generally, equal bold font is suitable, and the visual effect of such text is more uniform after it is made into miniaturization. Generally, the practice of using words instead of lines in microform text, such as wireframes or hollow signs in packaging design, can take advantage of the microform effect. 4) latent image. Latent image is a commonly used anti-counterfeiting function in RMB, which mainly hides a specific figure or text in the pattern to achieve the effect of anti-counterfeiting. The latent image is usually printed in concave, as shown in Figure 5

5) wire splitting and unlocking. These are two relatively new anti-counterfeiting functions. Split line, also known as anti copy, is to split a line into two or more lines. In the visual effect, this group of lines is generally relatively balanced and difficult to detect, but through scanning or copying, hidden words can be displayed, as shown in Figure 6

unlocking is to hide specific words or graphics in the image through software, and it can be detected through a special grating. This raster is like a key. If you rotate the image to a certain angle, you can find hidden words or graphics. Because the raster is specially made and only matches the corresponding image, it is difficult to counterfeit. Hidden images greatly enhance the anti-counterfeiting function of images, and make full use of special addition technology. What is hidden can not only be simple graphics without levels, but also images with rich levels, which greatly improves the anti-counterfeiting performance.
